Let us Pray~~~

Ya Allah...
Kami menadah tangan ke Hadratmu...
Ampunilah dosa-dosa kami...
Bukakanlah pintu Jannahmu buat kami...
Cucurilah limpah kasihmu keatas kami...

agar andai bumi membelah hanya nama-Mu terlukis dibibir..
Pancarkan cahaya kasihmu atas mereka...
agar ujian ini hanyalah seperti langit gelap tatkala mendung menanti Sang Suria...

Ya Allah...
Tenangkan hati-hati mereka...
Kebalkan tugu-tugu iman mereka...
hingga cahaya Nur-Mu menerangi al-Aqsa, memadamkan noda-noda nista Israel Laknat...

Sinarilah denai-denai anak-anak kecil Palestine...
moga kelak kebaktian anak-anak ini menjadi tunjang memperjuang Risalah-Mu

Ya Allah...
Padukan hati-hati umat islam disegenap maya menjadi perisai...

Gentarkan naluri Israel Laknat...
moga Israel Laknat hancur berkeping keping ibarat tentera Abrahah dimamah...

Ya Allah...
biar Lasykar-lasykar Israel lari lintang pukang berselerakan gementar...
biar wanita-wanita Israel menjadi janda-janda berhias nestapa...
biar anak-anak israel menjadi yatim berpiatu lara...
biar kepala menunjang Israel terbelah dua...
biar kereta kebal angkuh Israel hancur binasa...
biar kapal-kapal terbang Israel menghempas perut bumi...
biar senapang-senapang Israel patah menjadi tak berguna...
biar bom-bom Israel melebur menjadi abu...
biar ejen perisik Mossad Israel berkecai menjadi kutu...
biar ekonomi membaja Israel berpaling menjadi racun merosak binasa...
biar keangkuhan dan kesombongan Israel menjadi baju kaca membongkar segala...

Amin.

SOLAT:kewajipan atau pilihan??

Assalamualaikum wbt.alhamdulillah.setelah exam yg menyelubungi kehidupan 'putera2' n maharaja negeri 63,akhirnya kami berjaya menewaskan musuh kami yg bernama exam itu dengan jayanya.yeay!!

situasi satu
"ani dah semayang?"ty mak kepada ani(7 tahun)
"semayang macam mane mak?"ty ani
"haaaa, jom mak ajar ani amik wudu' dan lepas tu mak ajar ani solat k"

situasi dua
"ani dah semayang?"ty ayah kepada ani(10 tahun)
"ani malas la nak semayang ayah"balas ani
"ape?????kalau ani tak nak semayang nanti ayah rotan ani"kate ani.

hadis riwayat abu daud:hadis sahih
(sunan abu daud no.864, 1/229)

betapa banyaknya dosa kita

Maka kesemua Putera pun tergeds2 utk membersihkanya...maka bermulalah ceritera cinta....

inilah kawasan pencemaran duli yang telah dikenalpasti

Putera Kacak tanpa berlengah lagi berusaha sedaya upaya untuk mengeluarkan kotoran

Namun si Putera Hujan ini buleh pulak melantak sesedap hatinyer..haihhh

Namun si Putera Hujan masih lagi melantakberteman bau2an yg 'harum semerbak'..eeeeiiii

Nampak gayanya, Putera kacak ememrlukan bantuan utk mengeluarkan lebih banyak kotoran..

Maka, putera Kacak pun memasukkan tanganyer yang kecil molek ituh kedalam lubang durjana

Namun gagal disitu, maka Putera Kacak yang cuba disaingi oleh Putera Jambu membuat teknik laparoscopy utk membedah lubang durjana.Tekniknya berjaya mengagumkan Raja Fendi

Lalu, Maharaja Balu Fendi pun mengeluarkan senjata rahsianya , Mr Muscle utk menentang musuh durjana ituh..tada...

Young docs walk a tightrope

By RASHVINJEET S. BEDI and HARIATI AZIZAN

After completing a gruelling course, young doctors have another challenge to face – a demanding two-year housemanship where they rely on lots of coffee, cope with very little sleep and put up with public chastisements.

SHE had always wanted to be a doctor but six months into her housemanship, she snapped and just couldn’t take the stress anymore.

*Kavitha found the workload and endless hours on call a real burden, sapping her energy and spirit. Today, says her concerned father *Gurdave, she is close to having a nervous breakdown and is seeing a psychiatrist for counselling.

“The work load was too heavy and the hours too long. When she was on call, she sometimes had to work for up to 36 hours straight. She wants to be transferred to another hospital but every hospital is just as bad.

“But I don’t want her to walk away from the profession. I have spent close to RM400,000 on her education. I don’t want anything back but just for her to get through this,” says Gurdave.

Unfortunately, housemanship is taking its toll on many young doctors like Kavitha. Statistically, she is one of at least five housemen a month who is found to be suffering from mental illness.

Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Ismail Merican revealed last week that many of the medical graduates are unable to cope with their housemanship.

“The mental cases range from psychotic to neurotic. Psychotic cases include delusions and hallucinations, and neurotic behaviour includes anxiety, fear and anger due to the competitive environment.’’

On-call system

The term houseman refers to an advanced student or graduate in medicine gaining supervised practical experience. In Malaysia, it is compulsory for doctors to undergo housemanship for two years after completing their medical degree. During housemanship, they are rotated among six departments – emergency department, medical, paediatric, general surgery, orthopaedic, and obstetrics and gynaecology – where they are attached to for four months each.

Over the years, those undergoing housemanship have been voicing their unhappiness but these complaints have generally fallen on deaf ears. The biggest grouse housemen have seems to be the on-call system, where they are sometimes subjected to work 36 hours at a stretch.

*Pedro, who is into his sixth month of housemanship, says he has on occasion worked 38 hours straight with only one hour rest in-between.

“In some hospitals, the patient load is non-stop as they have to accept referrals from other hospitals,” says Pedro, adding that this is more apparent at hospitals in Johor Baru and Klang which are the busiest in the country.

Housemen are provided facilities such as beds and they can sleep if they have no cases to attend to. However, this is rarely the case and the most sleep they get is about two to three hours. And that is only when the housemen take turns to sleep, says *Lalitha whose housemanship stint ended recently.

“We force ourselves to carry on. What keeps us going is coffee and tea. It is only after we are no longer on call that we can go back and crash until the next day,” she says. Depending on the department and the hospital they are serving in, housemen could be on-call for up to 15 days a month. Lalitha says that during her first posting, she would work from 6am to midnight every day.

“We go home, have a bath and sleep for five hours before the cycle is repeated. They are preparing us for the on-call,” she says.

Shortage of doctors

Dr Kuljit Singh, president of the Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head Neck Surgeons (MSO- HNS), believes that one factor that can cause high pressure for trainee doctors is the shortage of doctors at some hospitals.

“Some hospitals have a lower doctor to patient ratio, so the housemen, being the lowest category in the medical fraternity, have to take on a lot of the work and responsibility, especially the lousy tasks, in the name of training,” he says.

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (PPUKM) dean and director Prof Datuk Dr Lokman Saim agrees, saying that pressure from their heavy workload can push some doctors to the brink of breaking down.

“It is normal for a doctor to be on duty for more than 36 hours with on-call duties. In Europe, this has been recognised as a problem and they have passed a law to state that doctors cannot work more than 12 hours straight. Maybe we need laws like that if we want to improve our doctors’ welfare,” he opines.

Under the European Working Time Directive in 2004, junior doctors can work no more than 56 hours a week. They can work up to 13 hours a day but then have to have an 11-hour break.

Acknowledging that the number of doctors in Malaysia may still be too low for such a ruling, Dr Lokman nevertheless thinks it is a possible solution for the future.

Dr Lokman thinks that the problem of housemen suffering from mental problems can be prevented at the entry point of the profession.

“Currently, for public universities, students are selected by the Higher Education Ministry based on their exam results and co-curriculum activities. No interviews are conducted, so there is no way for the individual medical schools to assess their attitude and character. If we get the right candidates for the programme, we can be sure of the doctors we produce,” he argues.

However, he admits that it is not a foolproof method but he believes that it will help weed out the obviously unsuitable candidates.

“Many students are forced by their parents to take up medicine and these students end up very stressed because the course is difficult and they are not motivated. It will help us ascertain if a candidate has the right attitude and disposition to be a doctor,” he adds.

He highlights that a majority of students who fail and drop out of medicine are those who are forced by their parents into the field.

Bullying

But for those who successfully completed their degree, the challenge is dealing with the hospital environment.

They may have to contend with a handful of senior medical officers with the “Napoleon” complex who make the lives of the housemen difficult, says Dr Kuljit Singh who had served in government hospitals before branching out into private service.

“There is sometimes an element of bullying and high-handedness in the way some senior medical officers and consultants treat their junior house officers. They become Little Napoleons and are dictatorial. They say they went through the same regiment and that made them good doctors, so the newbies need to go through the same process,” says Dr Kuljit.

A senior doctor in the Johor Baru hospital, *Zul is also not happy with the treatment dished out to housemen.

“I have seen the degrading treatment given to medical officers, even after they have finished their housemanship,” he says. Zul himself was a houseman in the same hospital a few years ago and he says nothing has changed.

“If they talk about your work then it’s all right, but then they go into character assassination,” he says.

The housemen are usually screamed at by their specialists in the wards and in the clinics, he adds.

“The words used in front of patients are sometimes so degrading that in my opinion, it is these specialists who are the ones suffering from ‘mental woes’,” says Zul.

Those who fought back would be referred to the head of department who would either try to rectify the situation or extend the posting of the houseman, adds Zul.

A few of the housemen say there have been times when they were threatened with extensions in the department by medical officers.

Zul says that three of his friends quit the medical profession during their housemanship, with one of them ending up as a housewife.

“One of them would get anxiety attacks whenever she came to the ward. The thing is she was an excellent student,” says Zul.

*Maniam was barely a week into his housemanship when a specialist yelled at him in front of a patient.

“He asked me if I paid to pass my exams and also said I was the worst doctor he had ever come across. How can he say such a thing when I was there for only a week? They tend to look down on us as if we don’t know anything,” says Maniam.

However, Dr Kuljit, who taught at Universiti Malaya, shares that many students today are more pampered and have led a sheltered life, and thus cannot stand the pressure. Many come from a protected family environment, so when they are reprimanded, they get stressed and depressed. He believes that medical schools need to instil more soft skills, particularly interpersonal skills, in their students.

“We have many top scorers taking up medicine but many of them lack people skills. These students can manage with their studies but when they start working, they don’t know how to deal with their superiors, especially when they get scolded by them,” he says.

Pedro, on the other hand, does not have problems with any of the senior doctors he has to work with and says they are gems.

“I have no complaints because they teach us a lot. They offer us the opportunity to learn complicated procedures. They are willing to teach you even if there are possible complications. Even the specialists take time to teach you,” he adds.

President of the Malaysian Medical Association Datuk Khoo Kar Lin is unsure about the cause of mental problems faced by the doctors although he says the finding by the Health Ministry is a concern. He says a survey should be done on housemen to find out the causes.

“We have not received any complaints (about housemanship). I went through the system myself and from my impression it is not different from say 30 years ago. They are not being more overworked than yesterday,” says Khoo, adding that he enjoyed his housemanship.

“Every profession will have its challenges. We have to be cautious because people will always think that they are victimised and work longer hours compared to others,” adds Khoo.

President of the Malaysian Mental Health Association Datin Dr Ang Kim Teng says that housemanship could be a contributing factor to mental problems.

“It is not the job that causes it but the underlying susceptibility. Some people are more prone to this and the job stress could be a triggering factor. Factory workers, policemen and teachers can also face the same problem.

“It all depends on the individual’s ability to cope with stress. A lot of housemen go through their stints without any problems,” says Dr Ang.

Lalitha enjoyed her housemanship despite the many challenges in the different departments.

“We know this awaits us in the field. When I first started, I asked myself what I was doing here. The doctors pick on your mistakes and are not bothered if you have enough rest,” says Lalitha who got used to housemanship by her third posting.

She believes adaptation is the hardest and those who studied in foreign universities may have it tougher as they may not understand some of the terms used.

For *Tan, her social life took the backstage and she had to cut down on spending time with her family and friends.

“Those were the times when I thought of quitting but the feeling passed very quickly,” she says.

Tan didn’t really encounter any problems with the staff but has friends who have had books thrown at them and senior staff nurses giving them a hard time.

“At the end of the day, I am satisfied that I have somehow made a difference in a patient’s life. I don’t have any regrets getting into this line,” she says.

For Pedro, the only time he feels discouraged is when he has to get up at 5.30am for work.

“Once you get there it’s over in a snap,” he shares, adding that he feels really good when patients come out of life-threatening situations.

Pedro also says with all the running around they have to do, housemanship is the best weight loss programme.

“I can now fit into pants which I wore in Form Five!” he quips.

Prevention at entry

Dr Lokman Saim thinks that the problem can be prevented at the entry point of the profession, which is the medical course.

“Currently, for the public university, students are selected by the Higher Education Ministry based on their exam results and co-curriculum activities.

“No interviews are conducted, so there is no way for the individual medical schools to asses their attitude and character. If we get the right candidates for the programme, we can be sure of the doctors we produce,” Dr Lokman argues.

He admits that it is not a foolproof method but he believes that it will help.

“Many students are forced by their parents to take up medicine and these students end up very stressed because the course is difficult and they are not motivated. It will help us ascertain if a candidate has the right attitude and disposition to be a doctor,” he adds.

He highlights that the majority of students who fail and drop out of medicine are those who are forced by their parents into the field.

shedot' super SUNDAY : Weekend Feed

Friends and Foes, tommorow i got exam maaa..but still i wanna write sumthing for my super sunday..it wont be anything specific..just an update what's happening around lately...

1. First thing first mesti la pasal Siti Nurhaliza..for Kipas SYusyah Mati, don't worry okeyh..siti is safe..and her house is fine as well despite the tragedy happened in Bukit Antarabangsa yesterday...and 1 more thing..she'll be singing the theme songs for an indonesian movie called Perempuan Berkalong Sorban..she'll be singing 2 songs, 1 is composed by her and the other 1 is the cover version of a song from opick...can't wait for the songs to be officially released..and i'm excited to watch the movie as well..it's a story with deep religious values i supposed..judging from the trailer, i think its gonna be a great movie..all girls in the movie was wearing hijab..so no hal to usha..bali mesti suker..wahahah..here's the trailer + a preview from theme songs..siti cumell...

2. Yeayyy..i just finished reading my Twilight book..i bought it as a present for myself on my 21st B'Day..i read 1 chapter per nite since then, and finally i'm done..i was excited to read the book after watching the trailer of the adaptation movie with the same title..so i decided to read the book first before watching the movie...to my surprise, i like the book..i always crazy about the story of vampires kind of thing..and its just a very sweet love story between a vampire and a human..what a life..wahahaha

3. Last week i was crazy about Britney new album, Circus...it was a really good album..kepada peminat2 Britney siler dgr..kpd yg x please pay no attention at all to this ..wahaha..i love most of the songs especially Circus and If You Seek Amy..Out from Under pun besh..but i just stream the album from imeem..malas nak beli cd..wahaha

4. oh..update on Xfactor..last nite was the Semi Final..unfortunately, Diana Vickers was out..huuhuuu...sad..it was her and eoghann for the last 2...and of course i was hoping for eoghan to get thru...it was really cute watching her and eoghann hugging and crying..they made a good couple..Eoghann ran to the stage when Diana was singing for her last time and hug her and crying..wahaha..and that was the most dramatic elimination in Xfactor so far..giler AF...but still..it was a sweet scene...wahahhaha..after her problem with her vocal cord, her perfomances wasn't really great to me..she's just become weaker and weaker..and so..the Finalist of XFACTOR 2008 Alexandre Burke, Eoghann Quig and JLS...can't wait for the final..even i'm a fan of eoghann, but i dont think he's gonna win the show..i have a feeling of Alexandre winning the competition..she's been giving great and great performances every week..so she really deserves to win..

5. Finally, i got the news from usop..Rich Etranged and Velvet AF4 was married..congrats..semoga bahgie ker anak cucu..they are the second couple from AF to get married after Khai n Rosma..hahaha..who's Next???

Pre Exam Syndromes of Medical Student~~~

At this time of the year, medical students will turn themselves into bookworms..u can find the bookworms everywhere around the uni even the christmas is just around the corner..what are the pre exam syndromes of Medical Student???hurmmmm...

1. Emotional Distress : kang biler tgh2 study tuh ader la terdengar jeritan2 kecil what we call as sudden scream...arghhhhh.its not the kind of orgasmic scream or neither pain or shcok..it was the scream arising from the stress. Besides, Students also tend to easily get angry over small things..

2. Lack of Social Interaction : when the clock is ticking faster and faster so does ur heart..u are afraid of not getting all the academic material covered before the exam..thus u will lock urself in the room..study all day long..sometimes u dont even wanna talk to people..before, u used to eat together now u said i'm gonna eat alone cause i need to be quick..u used to hang around the TV for favourite shows now u said i dont have time for that..huhuhu..

3. Favourite quotations : 'Weyh cuakss seyhh nak exam..giler baber banyak aa x study lagi'..isn't it rite fendi??hahaha..yg jadik magsanyer adalah pendi..have to listen for that lines everytime the exam is coming..so i guess u know the drill oready huh?one more lines..'cepat2..takder masa nak dibazirkan nih'..hahaha

4. Cinta beralih arah: dulu cintaku pada citer korea, tv shows, movie, bola, ker paper ker..kini cinta ku pada buku..adakah buku jua menchentaiku??..tp sampi biler2 pun aku takkan menchentai buku..tp i still love knowledge yg x kener hapal..yg tau sudeyhh..hahah

5. Conversation : Now every conversation is filled with medical jargons and infos...apraxia, aphasia, nocturnal wuteva, horner's syndrome and etc etc etc..no more useless talk, no more dirty jokes, no more funny laughter...

6. Self-Care : U care less about ur self..u eat everyting that catches ur eyes..simple and easy..megi lah jawapanyer..u don't bother about ur appearance anymore, u go out without shaving..ur hair is messy..ur study table is filled with files, book, choclates wrapping, notes and wuteva u can find..sometimes even the plates, the glass and so on..

7. Library : sudden sudden library become ur second home and others homeless as well..library became the best 5 stars hotelnow...kalo boleh nak tido situh tross kan..tp mmg kalo study kt library mmg ngantoss..tp they got heater in library..so can save electric bill weyhss..jom gi library..

8. Your Room : one word..BERSEPAH!!!!

9. Lectures : Haaa..this one is so obvious..a week or two before the exam, u feel ur class become smaller and smaller..kalo BH tuh maybe 2/10 of the class jer kot..students tend to escape lectures to concentrate on studies..saya???tidak terkecuali..this force the phisiology department to take attendance and u will not be allowed to sit for the exam if the attendance is poor..hahah..saper2 yg escape tuh Dr. Gabruers dah emo..naseb laaa..hahaha..

10. GOD : At last, after all the efforts you've put into, u now tawakkal to GOD, u r like a prodigal, returning to ur own One and Only Creator...this is the time when u double ur doa, ur solat and all..time2 nih la baru nak terhegeh2 menadah tgn..tyme laen ketika seronok..lupo...the good thing is, at least u know everyting is decided by GOD..u have no power of saying to it..so u tawakkal..good thing to do..but why is it only at that time of the year??because we are human, we seek for God's attention when we are in need, when we are vulnarable..but when we are in joy and laughter, we put God aside..well it happens to some of us..me included..

p/s : this is my Pre exam syndrome..xberkaitan dgn yg idop atau mati..

Friends and Foes, listen to this performance of hers..it was taken from her 2004 Siti Nurhaliza Fantasia Tour...it was her take on some of the greatest Malay Classical Rock songs Fantasia Bulan Madu, Gerhana, hati Emas and Isabella...it was stunning..considering it was a live concert and the vocal was almost perfect..what a great performance..she managed to pull off that vocal after hours of dancing and singing..isn't it great..Cayang siti..mmmuaaaahhh...wahaha..dengar yer..sambil melayan lentok and chill off the tension of studying..hihih

Pimple+Tension=Annoying

wawawawaw....past few days i was annoyed by pimples on my cheek..it was agitating thinking of pimples..i hate pimple the most..today i realized another pimple just emerged somewhere under my nose..arghhh..i'm so annoyed by it..it dosen't give me pain and all but it makes me uncomfortable..i'm feeling something on my fair skin(i mean fair as in smooth not in term of colour obviously) and i just cudn't keep my hands of the pimple..hahaha..i hate pimple..i rarely got pimples(muker bangga+syukur)...wahahaha..

Today, i'm feeling a bit x sedap badan..and my nose isn't doing pretty well at all..its not kind of running nose or like that, but hidung tersumbat(do u have medical term for that)...it is so annoying cos i cudnt breath properly without making any noise and sometimes i just have to struggle to grasps for some air..euwwrgghhhh...apart from that my head is a little bit dizzy..oh gosh...please..hopefully i'll be just fine before the exam..

The tension is also keep on mounting everytime i forgot things i'd studied..goshhh..please make all the info stays in me..cudnt bear of losing them and have to study again and again n again...hahaha..

update of the day for the 4 consecutive days by ME..since eberybody else is busy with studying..

Mr. Why-So-Serious

Before i start with my revision today, i decided to post something 'scary' happened to me today(scary ker??u be the judge)..we had a new lecturer for phisiology..i then officially declare him as MR. WHY-SO-SERIOUS..u know why??because he's damn serious..his face is always rigidly scary..i never saw him smiling thruout the lecture except for once, he made a chuckle when someone asked him a question. Before the class started today, he was staring at a group of student on the left side of the lecture hall for almost 5 minutes with that kind of scary-berry look because they were talking nonstop..why scary-berry??sbb rasa cam nak terberak when he stares at you(giler hyperbola)...then in the middle of the lecture, i was talking to bazley cause i was asking him something that i cudnt see clear enuff on the screen..it was only like for 15seconds or so..then i caught his eyes staring at me..that piercing sharp eyes were just enuff to make me sweat..his face was undescriably scary..as if a hungry lion who's been eyeing on his prey long before he jumped and bite my neck..wahhh..hahah..comeon..gimme a break..don't stare at me like that just because i made a 15seconds whisper..it wasn't my intention to talk at all...then in the the third quater of the lecture he said in his cold tone..'guys, don't talk'..referring to somebody else..not me..perghhh..luckyly today was the last lecture with him..thank god..but Mr ...Why So Serious?..Chill man..

An Attempt to make Nasi Tomato

Was it a successful one??hope so..wahaha..ari nih tetiba ngada nak makan nasik tomato bersama ayam masak merah...tetapi terpaksa mengharungi beberapa dugaan
1. Rice cooker tuh x berfungsi sedangkan nasik tuh belom masak...so kener angkat masak atas dapur..

2. Sambal terlebeyh letak cili..pedass gell..pastuh berkali2 tambah bawang sampaikan sambal yg di masak cukup utk stok sebulan..

3.Kepedasan sambal memang memeluhkan dahi ketika makan..tp sedapp..sehinggakan kamil mengeluarkan bunyi yg sangat pelik..wahahaha

3. Ketika sambal dimasak, dier percik2 ker dinding, l
antai dan dapur..abiss la kotor dinding n dapur..kener jadik cinderella mengelap lantai..huhu
4. Cabaran terbesar mendengar lawak@gelakkan comel fendi yg kelakar sampaikan bali terminum air gas ikut
hidung..wahahhaa..silap2..hooooooooooooo(*nada gelak pendi)
5.Usop pergi study kat hospital..naseb aa dier terlepass lawak pendi..wahaha..
