Anyway, its during this kind of time that I've always look forward to watch TV commercials, such as those being done by Petronas every year. Somehow, it never fails to cause an 'emotional stirrup' deep inside me, at the same time makes me realize how life could be more meaningful if we are only to show more appreciation to it....
It is meaningfully subtle yet moves you profoundly...
All in all, they really do a good job in conveying the message to the public~

This commercial is directed by none other than Yasmin Ahmad!~ This is what she have to say about this ad:

"This story is based on 2 things: the actor's real life regrets about his late father, and a japanese poem by Shuntaro Tanikawa, written for the poet's late father. It may seem forced to you, but the emotions it contains are very meaningful to an ordinary person like me...."

My further readings in her blog reveals that the idea for this commercial came from the lead actor himself, Jason! (Sepet). Even the house in this ad is just across the street from Jason's house in Sepet! =P
